My First Crutch Lap Steel Guitar

My Lap Steel and recording equiptment

This Lap steel was my first attempt at using a wood crutch as the main frame. It seemed to be hard wood, so, why not???? As can be seen, the tailpiece and the tuning pegs have exchanged positions. Works out kinda good as you don't have to use your slide hand to tune. The slide, inbetween the two mouse's is a brass one I bought at a local flea market from Ken Kelly. Ken made and signed it and presents himself as the nephew for Machine Gun Kelly.

Who knows?????

Click on the pic to the left to hear a demo of how it sounds. This, and the other two, was recorded using a 3 inch computer speaker hardwired to a 1/4 inch plug, through the Smokey Amp and then into the sound card im my HP PC.  Real Hi-Tech
